Building Responsibility

Research says that parents are the biggest influence for their  preteen!!

1. Do I know what my preteen does after school?

2. Do I know her friends?

3. Does she know that I expect a call if she's going to be late?

4. Do I know where she hangs out?

5. Do I talk to her about what she and her friends are doing?

Mistakes are a fact of life.  It is the response to the error that counts.

Joint Problem Solving

1. Define the issue.

2. Talk----and listen.

3. Brainstorm together.

4. Try it--decide on a time of when you will try the suggestion.

5. Check up....evaluate...did it work?
